Sahara Movers started back in 2016 when our founder Ahmed got tired of seeing people get ripped off by moving companies. He was moving his own family from Khalifa City to Marina and the movers broke half his stuff and charged double what they promised. That day he decided to start his own moving company – one that actually cares about customers.
We’re not some big corporation. We’re your neighbors here in Abu Dhabi. Our main office is in Mussafah Industrial Area, right next to the ADNOC station on Street 16. You can come visit us anytime – we got nothing to hide. Our warehouse is clean, organized, and fully air-conditioned to protect your belongings from this crazy UAE heat.
Ahmed still runs the company personally. He grew up in Abu Dhabi, went to ADNOC schools, knows every street and shortcut in the city. Most of our team has been with us for years. Hassan joined us in 2017, Mohammed in 2018, and Khalil in 2019. These guys have moved thousands of families. Villa Moving Services
Moving villas in Abu Dhabi requires special expertise. These big houses have heavy furniture like majlis sets, large wardrobes, and multiple bedrooms of stuff. We bring extra manpower and bigger trucks for villa moves.

Storage rates start from 200 AED per month for small room worth of stuff. We can store anything except dangerous materials and food items. All stored items are properly labeled and we give you detailed inventory list.
Our Moving Process in Abu Dhabi - Step by Step
- Step 1: Free Home Survey and Quote
First thing we do is visit your place. One of our experienced supervisors comes over, usually Ahmed or Hassan.
They look at everything – furniture, boxes, special items like piano or artwork.
This takes about 20-30 minutes. Then we give you exact price written on paper. No guessing games, no “approximately” – you get the real cost.
During survey we also check things like parking situation, elevator size, stairs, and best route to your new place.
We plan everything ahead so moving day goes smooth.
If you live in Marina towers, we know those elevators are small. If you’re in Khalifa City villas, we know the parking spots.
- Step 2: Booking and Preparation
Once you approve the quote, we book your moving date.
We send you confirmation message with date, time, and team details.
Day before your move, our supervisor calls to confirm everything is ready.
We ask you to pack personal items like clothes, documents, and valuables separately.
We handle all furniture and household items. If you want us to pack everything, that’s also possible for small extra charge.
- Step 3: Packing and Protection
Moving day we arrive on time – usually 8am to avoid traffic and heat.
Our team brings all packing materials in the truck. We have different size boxes, lots of bubble wrap, packing paper, plastic covers, and thick moving blankets.
We start with fragile items first. TV gets special box, dishes get wrapped individually, mirrors and paintings get cardboard protection.
Furniture gets covered with blankets and plastic. Mattresses get special plastic bags. We take photos of valuable items before packing for insurance purposes.
- Step 4: Loading and Transport
Loading is done systematically. Heavy items like fridge and washing machine go in first, then furniture, then boxes.
Everything gets secured with straps so nothing moves during transport.
Our trucks have good suspension and we drive carefully on Abu Dhabi roads.
If you’re moving within Abu Dhabi, transport usually takes 30-60 minutes depending on distance and traffic.
We know all the shortcuts and avoid busy roads during peak hours. Driver stays in contact with you during transport.
- Step 5: Unloading and Setup
At your new place, we unload everything carefully and place items where you want them.
We can assemble beds, connect washing machine, and set up basic furniture.
We also remove all packing materials and garbage.
Before we leave, our supervisor walks through with you to make sure everything is in good condition and you’re happy with the service.
